Responsibilities:

• Leading and managing the manual QA team working on Android projects.
• Elaboration, development, and implementation of testing strategies and plans for Android applications.
• Developing and maintaining test cases alongside related documentation.
• Identification and reporting of defects; tracking to resolution.
• Close collaboration with the development, design, and product management teams to ensure quality and functionality for the applications.
• Mentoring and professional growth of QA team members.
• Ensuring that testing standards and processes are followed by the team.
• Evaluating methodologies and continuously improving tools used in testing.
• Participation in requirements and technical specifications review to guarantee testability.

To perform in this role, we would like you to have:

• At least 7 years of experience in manual mobile application testing, with a strong focus on Android.
• Past experience leading or coordinating activities of QA teams.
• Deep understanding of the Android platform, design guides, and Android standards.
• Proven experience in planning and organization of test activities.
• Experience in handling defect management and software testing tool (ex: JIRA, TestRail).
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Able to work in dynamic environments and manage multiple priorities.
• Very keen eye for detail - able to find complex problems.
• Knowledge of software development life cycles and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of API testing.
• Work independently, taking initiative when problems need to be solved.

Additionally, it would be great to see that you:

• Previous experience in Android application testing with various versions and on different devices.
• Performing performance and security testing of mobile applications.
• The certification in QA or project management will be an added advantage.
