The Senior Accountant responsible for Accounts Payable will manage procurement, verification, and accounting documentation processes related to suppliers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and legal regulations. The role involves interdepartmental collaboration, optimization of document workflows, and support for monthly and annual financial closings.

Main Responsibilities

• Research and identify potential suppliers.
• Prepare proposals, request quotations, and negotiate purchase terms and conditions.
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders and update inventory records.
• Monitor stock levels, ensure adequate inventory to meet needs, and optimize inventory management practices.
• Verify the accuracy of received documents (invoices, delivery notes, contracts).
• Track purchase invoices and record them in the accounting system.
• Integrate new suppliers into accounting and operational systems.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient document flow.
• Reconcile supplier balances.
• Participate in monthly and annual financial closings.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in economics or accounting.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in the area of accounts payable.
• Holding the CECCAR Chartered Accountant certification is considered an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of fiscal and accounting legislation.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office applications.
•  Attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interdepartmental collaboration abilities.
